Meet the Internships and Career Experiences Team

What do you do in your current position? How long have you been in your current role?
I serve as both Chief Solutions Officer and Director of Internship Programs for the Clemson University Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) and have been in those roles since 2015. In addition to managing our on-campus (UPIC), off-campus, and international internship programming as a Director, my CSO position also involves developing new strategies and blueprints for keeping career services effective and relevant for all current and future constituents.

Where are you from and what is your educational background?
I hold three postgraduate degrees from Clemson University, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration, a Master of Human Resource Development, and a Master of Education, Guidance and Counseling – Student Affairs. I grew up in the Ohio where I completed my undergraduate studies at Wittenberg University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a focus in Business Management.

What advice could you give students?

“Doing a job” and “getting a job” often require two different skill sets. Many of the students I’ve worked with over the years are very qualified for the roles they seek. However, they sometimes need assistance with the strategies, steps, and skills necessary to successfully complete the job search process.

What is the most interesting job you have had?

During my years in higher ed, I’ve found a lot of joy working in residential life, corporate relations, orientation, career services, and even international student services. However, helping Susan Nunamaker with her real estate endeavors has created a lot of exciting adventures in recent years.

What do you do in your current position? How long have you been in your current role?
I joined the CCPD in March of 2020 and serve as the champion for CCPD’s core competency initiative, which allows me to collaborate with students, campus partners, employers, and other institutions to help students grow in the knowledge, skills, and behaviors (competency) that employers and graduate schools are seeking. I hope to help students recognize and articulate the depth of their experience and knowledge during the hiring process. Another component of my role is to oversee the department’s assessment efforts. CCPD is committed to serving students well, and my work helps the department evaluate and inform our program offerings.

Where are you from, and what is your educational background?
I earned a Master of Education in Counselor Education from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education from Anderson University.

What do you do in your current position? How long have you been in your current role?
I joined the CCPD in March of 2025 after moving to Clemson from Florida where I had previously been a high school teacher. In my current role, I help oversee off-campus internship courses, provide counseling services, collaborate with employers and campus partners about opportunities for Clemson students, and partner with graduate programs around campus to best deliver our services to graduate students.

Where are you from, and what is your educational background?
I am from Cincinnati, Ohio, but have most recently lived in Florida before moving to the Clemson area! I have a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Cleveland State University.

What do you do in your current position? How long have you been in your current role?
I joined the CCPD in June of 2026 after moving to Clemson from North Georgia where I had previously taught high school band for seven years. In my current role, I help oversee off-campus internship courses, provide counseling services and collaborate with employers and campus partners about opportunities for Clemson students. I also teach the Tigers on Track Program, a Clemson Global Challenges Program for First Generation/Low Income undergraduate students that equips these students with the knowledge they need to secure and succeed in an internship and navigate the “unspoken rules” of the workforce. I also serve on staff with the Clemson Tiger Marching Band!

Where are you from, and what is your educational background?
I am from Conyers, GA, but went to school in nearby Monroe. I have a Master of Music in Music Education from the American Band College of Central Washington University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from The University of Georgia.

What brings you joy at Clemson?

I am passionate about helping students succeed and discover what career suits them best while preparing them with life and leadership skills that will make them a strong graduate of Clemson University and a valuable asset to wherever they land in the world!

Where are you from, and what is your educational background?

I am originally from Fort Myers, Florida, and earned my bachelor’s degree in Communications from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. I am currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Student Affairs here at Clemson University!

What are some fun facts about you?

I grew up doing all-star cheerleading and continued cheering in college, where I served as Club Cheer President during my senior year at Florida Atlantic University. I am also the only girl in my family and have three brothers. Although I grew up in Florida, both of my parents are Clemson graduates, so I was raised with Clemson in my heart. Being here now truly is a dream come true!
