- Research the Company: Learn about the company’s details, including its mission, values, services, and recent news. Knowing this information shows your interest and helps you tailor your responses to the company’s goals.
- Practice Common Interview Questions: Prepare answers for typical interview questions such as “Tell me about yourself” and “Why do you want to work here?” Practice your responses aloud and consider making an appointment for a mock interview.
- Showcase Relevant Skills and Experiences: In your interview, be sure to highlight your skills gained through coursework, internships, part-time jobs, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
- Prepare Questions for the Interviewer: Prepare approximately 5-8 questions to ask the interviewer about the company culture, specific projects, or anything else related to the position. Asking insightful questions demonstrates your interest in the role and company.
Interview Room Space
Interview rooms can be reserved for students who need space to conduct a phone or virtual interview with an employer for internship and employment opportunities. You may also reserve space if you need to conduct an interview with a graduate or professional school. Please schedule at least two days before the date you need the room. Space is subject to availability, but every effort will be made to accommodate your request.

Mock-Interviews
If you would like to practice interviewing there are few options listed below for you to choose from.
- Schedule a Mock Interview: To schedule a Mock Interview with a career counselor, go to the appointment tab. Please have your resume ready to upload along with a job description from a job or similar job to which you would like to apply.
- Virtual Mock Interviews: Login to ClemsonJobLink to utilize our Virtual Mock Interview system. Once logged in, hover over ‘Resources,’ then click ‘Mock Interviews.’
- If you have any basic interview questions, stop by for a brief drop-in during our drop-in hours.
