Faculty/staff are welcome to request workshops facilitated by career counselors, including choosing a major, resumes, interviewing skills, job search, networking strategies, dining etiquette, and other topics.
Knowledge, skills, and behaviors align to create competencies that contribute to enhancing performance. Grounded in theory and verified by faculty, the Core Competencies and the proficiency levels are inclusive of undergraduate and graduate students and align with our development model of Learn. Act. Flex. Succeed. This approach promotes lifelong competency development and a definition of success grounded in a growth mindset.
Grant funding is available for faculty/staff to assist with core competency integration.
The University Professional Internship and Co-op (UPIC) program provides over 900 paid, on-campus internships for Clemson University undergraduate students. The UPIC program is a leader in the creation of a campus-wide culture that involves students partaking in meaningful and relevant developmental experiences. Students have the opportunity to work alongside Clemson University faculty and staff, gaining professional work experience in their field of interest and study.Clemson University faculty or staff working in a full-time professional role.

Our new virtual career center is a central hub for career resources for students, faculty and alums. Community Experts will have the capability to promote upcoming events and opportunities to specific student populations.
The Center for Career and Professional Development invites you to participate in the Experiential Learning Exchange (ELE). Capitalizing on momentum developed through our “Let’s Do Breakfast Events,” the ELE aims to foster partnerships with campus partners, employers, and other stakeholders to share best practices and promote experiential learning opportunities.
We will continue to host collaborative events throughout the year and keep the conversation going through a monthly newsletter to highlight student experiences, advertise experiential learning events, offer professional development opportunities, and more!
