Professional Learning Community: Connecting the Classroom to Life After Clemson

Professional Learning Community 2026 – 2027

This PLC will focus on exploring and embedding Clemson’s core competencies into existing courses to enhance student learning and engagement. Participants will discuss career readiness competency models and research-based integration strategies. Participants will redesign one course activity or assignment to help students connect learning to life after Clemson. Additionally, participants will engage in a peer review of how the new activity or assignment will be measured. The course assignments and/or activities will be shared through our newly developed Elevate Readiness Applied Learning Library, ensuring their research contributes to elevating the practice in their fields. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, the PLC will share ideas and resources to enrich the student experience by promoting competency development and connecting the course’s value and impact to future endeavors.
