PLC: Connecting the Classroom to Life After Clemson

This PLC will focus on exploring and embedding Clemson’s core competencies into existing courses to enhance student learning and engagement. Participants will discuss career readiness competency models and research-based integration strategies. Participants will redesign one course activity or assignment to help students connect learning to life after Clemson. Additionally, participants will engage in a peer review of how the new activity or assignment will be measured.

  • Measure student competency growth with tested proficiency levels.

This PLC meets on the second Wednesday of the month, October 2026 - April 2027. There will be an asynchronous meeting in December. In addition to increasing your knowledge in the subject, you will: • Build relationships with faculty across the University • Gain recognition for completion to your chair and dean • Receive documentation of this PLC as professional development in Faculty Success for annual review and promotion. One absence per semester is permitted.
