We have an exciting opportunity for students! This is a perfect chance for students looking to boost their resumes and serve diverse populations in the community. Volunteers will gain an IRS certification for basic tax preparation and an amazing service learning experience.
Commit to volunteering 1 four-hour shift per week January 21- April 15 to earn a $600 stipend. Spots are limited.
United Way of Pickens is preparing for our annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (Free File) program. Our Free File program provides free income tax assistance to over 10,000 individuals and families across the Upstate annually.
Pickens County has four free sites at the public library branches in Pickens, Easley, Central-Clemson, and Liberty. These sites are open during multiple time slots from Monday-Saturday during tax season (end of January-April 15). Additionally, there is a site on campus for international students. Students are also welcome to volunteer on campus. Most students find it easy to find a location and time slot to fit their schedule.
