DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities will depend on your placement within one of our departments; This can vary from Commercial Banking, Retail Sales, Data Analytics, Human Resources, and Wealth Management.
Job duties may include:
- Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the department.
- Acquire and apply a comprehensive understanding of the various banking products, services, lines of business, and internal departments at United Bank.
- Focus on business development efforts through our hands-on and holistic approach to identifying and exceeding client needs; Reinforces sales skills by effectively recommending appropriate Bank products and services.
- Collaborate with partners across multiple Lines of Business, including Wealth Management, Mortgage and Commercial Services, to help customers with more complex financial needs.
- Conduct a broad range of data analysis and present results in an accurate, professional, and informative manner.
- Interact with current and potential customers and lending officers to inquire about important information pertaining to transactions or items disclosed within financial statements, etc.
- Deliver spreadsheets, reports, summaries and issue opinions and recommendations to loan officers, senior credit officers and loan committees to be utilized in credit decisions on new, renewal and existing loans.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing and annual due diligence of complex client loans.
- Develop new reports and update existing reports to support business lines by utilizing Business Intelligence tools.
- Proactively build professional relationships with all levels of staff, customers, and outside partners.
- Work on special projects as business needs arise.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong candidates should have relevant internship.
- Campus involvement/leadership experience highly desired.
- Microsoft skills required; Proficiency in Excel (data entry, formatting, charts, basic formulas, Vlookup, and pivot tables) required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Driven by achieving sales and business development goals.
- Ability to interact in a professional demeanor with all levels of staff, including Executive Management, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to complete accurate complex financial and other data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multi-tasking and detail-oriented skills is essential.
