SWS Project Engineers will be placed on an active project to learn our scopes of work, how SWS operates as a company, and how to effectively manage a jobsite. PE’s will be mentored by Superintendents and PM’s, and will assist in running/managing the project they are assigned to. PE’s will perform duties similar to a superintendent, and will focus on the field/operations to become competent in building envelope scopes of work. Main duties for a PE are listed below.
- Understand the scope of work and inspect/document work to ensure it confirms the contract scope/drawings
- Track unit price scope items
- Track production rates and material usage
- Manage material inventory and stay ahead of work
- Write daily reports via Procore
- Ensure jobsite is clean and organized
- Maintain protection of adjacent materials and other’s scope
- Walk with consultants/engineers during inspections and document deficiencies, photograph repair procedures and share with PM/super
- Maintain professionalism and relationships with clients and consultants
