Grant Writing Internship
The South Carolina Multilingual Learner Educator Network (SCMLE) is seeking a Grant Writing Intern to research funding opportunities and help draft clear, persuasive proposals to support our programs and initiatives. This is a fully remote position.
Intern responsibilities may include researching potential funding opportunities from foundations or agencies, compiling background information on prospective funders, drafting sections of grant proposals and letters of inquiry, editing and proofreading proposal drafts, gathering and organizing program data to support applications, maintaining a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions, and assisting with drafting reports for current funders.
Applicants should have strong research and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, persuasive language. Interns must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and have reliable internet access. Experience with nonprofit or academic writing is helpful but not required.
To apply, please send a letter of interest to katie@scmle.org.
