Job description:
The Sales Representative is part of a team of experts, dedicated to innovation, working day after day to successfully translate graphics into well-known brands in the marketplace. In this role, the Sales Representative is responsible for selling OEC products and services to businesses, for building strong customer relationships, loyalty and retention through exceptional sales and service. This role is continually responsible for representing and promoting the OEC image and proactively providing solutions.
Reports to: Sales – Business Segment Leader
Status: Exempt
Salary Structure: Base salary, plus sales commissions
Location: This role will support business operations and development out of the Midwest.
Major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Manage accounts to maintain current service revenue streams and generate new revenues from the sale of our products and services
- Responsible for all aspects of client relationships and sales cycle including sales to new and existing clients, price negotiation, pipeline management, training, and marketing support.
- Must be able to prospect, qualify, and close multiple opportunities in parallel, while maintaining ongoing business partner relationships.
Primary Objectives:
- Meet sales quotas each month, quarter and year Promote the overall success of the company through constantly improving sales, sales techniques, and relationships.
- Develop successful sales techniques and share with the team
- Participate in an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Generate leads through various channels (i.e., cold calling, marketing, email, person-to-person, etc.)
- Participate in Business Networking Groups and Tradeshows within assigned business segments and territory.
- Become knowledgeable regarding assigned business segment and territory.
- Identify and qualify potential clients.
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
- Communicate with customers regarding solutions and offerings.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
- Be familiar with the latest industry trends and technical advancements and successfully apply them in daily activities.
- Travel as necessary between facilities, customer or vendor locations, as necessary for business.
- Submit orders and paperwork, activity reports, provide custom quotes as necessary or required.
- Support account receivables.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to develop a thorough understanding of OEC’s products and services. Be a motivated, self-starter who takes initiative and can maintain professionalism and flexibility in a hectic sales environment.

- Committed to use of discretion and high standard of ethics.
- Solid computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years experience in sales (internal/external) and customer service. Preferred candidates will understand the graphic communications industry, print or print theory.
