We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic entry-level Manufacturing Management leaders. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, process improvement, and safety protocols. This position offers valuable exposure to the inner workings of a dynamic manufacturing environment and provides an excellent platform for professional development.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive):
- Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Participate in production and manufacturing activities to gain practical experience.
- Work with safety, quality, production, maintenance, and HR departments on concerns and/or opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
- Document and analyze data related to production, quality and safety metrics, efficiency, and performance.
- Engage in training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, team growth, and leadership skills.
- Work with supervisors and department managers on developing training plans for hourly associates in assigned work areas.
- Rotate into leading each area of responsibility to develop cross-functional management skills.
- Shadow and learn problem-solving methods from various management roles or departments, including Production, Quality, Maintenance or Engineering, Environmental & Safety, or Human Resources, and perform hands-on learning activities as directed.
- Build relationships with all associates within the Plant and share any learned best practices.
- Any other duties as assigned by the reporting supervisor or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Business, or a Manufacturing related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong academic background with coursework in manufacturing processes, operations management, or related disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and hourly associates and adapt to fast-paced manufacturing operations.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Will work on many projects simultaneously, so the candidate must have strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be geographically mobile upon program completion when promotional opportunities arise; relocation is provided and required.
- Travel may be required up to 20% per year.
- Prior co-op/intern experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
