The Margaritaville Restaurants Leadership Program is a paid, 10–12-week experience where you will be fully integrated into the day-to-day activities of a team working in one of the most dynamic and energic food and beverage locations in the country. We are committed to giving our interns the space to explore, to have full-time employee responsibilities, and to become future leaders.
- Program Starts: Mid May
- Program Ends: Mid-August
Pay and Hours: You’ll be paid an hourly wage based on the location. You’ll be asked to work between 35-40 hours a week, including training time.

Eligibility Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a certificate or degree
- Have completed at least one semester of college
- Able to start internship working at least 35 hours/week (Mid May through Mid – Late August. We will work around your back-to-school schedule.
- Legally authorized to work in the US on a fulltime, permanent, and ongoing basis without requiring OPT, CPT or sponsorship now or in the future
- Willing to relocate or currently live near to any of our locations that has a summer internship opportunity, including:

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Paid Internship
While this is a paid internship opportunity. Hourly wages will be based on the salary for each market.
Learning Outcomes:
The internship experience will be an extension of what you learn in class with a chance to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom.

Weekly Leadership Series
Day-to-day participation in the organization is augmented by special sessions in which Executives and senior staff share the inside view of their work at Margaritaville and their experiences as leaders. The open discussion format allows participants to learn directly from leaders, ask challenging questions, and address critical issues. The discussions are structured to provide both a functional overview of the organization and insight into a variety of leadership approaches.
We will host Leadership Workshops with Executives, in Operations, Human Resources, Culinary/Menu Design, Marketing and a “Meet the CEO” session.
Academic Support
Special arrangements can be made to accommodate academic degree requirements. Leaders and program managers are available to meet or correspond with academic advisors, review mandatory assignments, and complete evaluations based on specific academic needs.
Evaluation / Assessment
Ongoing communication and evaluation is encouraged as a part of every experience for the program. Participants and managers also take a step back at key points to assess your experience and measure progress Exit interviews and final evaluations help us understand how we can improve the program and provide you feedback on your performance.
At the end of the summer, there will be opportunity to be considered for
- a full-or part time offer or
- return for another internship next summer in any of our locations around the country
- return for a professional internship
- interview to join the Leadership Training program
Either way, you’ll have a job already lined up for next summer with one of our new professional internships.
