This is a full time position, however undergrads in Construction Science and Electrical Engineering students will be considered based on level of experience. H&W Electrical does offer on the job training for candidates with above average knowledge of Auto Cad and Auto Cad Cloud applications.
General Overview of job duties
- Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and power distribution plans using AutoCAD based on rough sketches and specifications from engineers.
- Work closely with electrical engineers, architects, and other professionals to discuss designs and ensure they align with project requirements.
- Verify that all drawings are accurate, include all necessary information, and comply with national and local electrical codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Modify and edit existing designs based on feedback from senior engineers or project managers.
- Create lists of materials and components needed for the electrical systems.
Required skills and qualifications
- Extensive experience with CAD software like AutoCAD, and understanding of electrical drafting concepts.
- A solid comprehension of electrical circuits, wiring, and schematics is crucial.
- Meticulous focus on accuracy to avoid errors in the final plans.
