Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete and detailed estimates and proposals for commercial and hospitality construction projects
- Conduct project turnover meetings with the project management team following contract awards
- Analyze drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
- Forecast labor, material, and time requirements for each project
- Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analysis
- Review subcontractor and vendor bids for scope coverage and accuracy
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and maintain supplier/subcontractor directories
- Present cost estimates and expenditure reports to upper management
- Coordinate multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Generate clear, concise bid documentation and proposal packages
Qualifications:
- 2 years of construction estimating experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
- Experience using PlanSwift or similar takeoff and estimating software
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings and documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Experience preparing detailed reports and presentations
