Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern – Manufacturing Planner for Summer, 2026. The position is based in Batesburg-Leesville, SC.

Accountabilities:
- Familiarity with production planning software (SAP) is welcomed
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret production data and provide actionable insights
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work with complex data and ensure precision in reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Develop skills and knowledge in a real-world manufacturing environment
- Mentorship: Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced production planning professionals
- Assist Planning manager and team with analysis and other procedural improvements
- Take an active part in the execution of development projects
- Develop and integrate documentation processes to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Provide project status updates as required
- Works under close supervision of the Planning Manager
Required Skills/Knowledge:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Current Junior or Senior at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027.

Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
