Role Overview/Summary: GreerWalker is actively seeking career minded individuals for the Summer 2028 Tax Internships. Tax interns will work on a wide variety of engagements under the supervision of a tax professional including preparing individual, corporate and partnership returns, researching tax issues and participating in the tax planning process.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare basic federal corporate (C and S) and multi-state tax returns, and basic partnership returns.
- Prepare basic and intermediate individual tax returns.
- Complete tax checklists.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries for tax purposes.
- Respond to tax notices.
- Create tax depreciation schedules including proper classification of assets.
- Research fundamental issues using online tools.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Participate in the tax planning process, including preparing tax projections.
- Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting with minimum 3.0 GPA
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Foreign language skills (particularly German) a plus
Working Conditions
- Able to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; and to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
