Chord Design Studio is a remote architecture and interiors firm focused on highly detailed, financially controlled, well-coordinated projects. Our work includes hospitality, restaurants, breweries, wineries, boutique hotels, aviation, multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, and select custom residential projects. We operate with direct communication, high standards, and strong project ownership so our clients, consultants, and internal team know what needs to happen next.

We Value: Balance, Transparency, Innovation

As the newest member of our talented team, you will play a vital role in directing projects through design, documentation, and coordination. You’re a licensed architect with 12+ years of project leadership and project management. You catch coordination issues early, push consultants for real answers, and give clients straight information. You’re comfortable being the face of a project — delivering good news and hard news the same way, and holding your ground when scope, schedule, or budget need protecting. You know when a technical issue calls for the CEO’s involvement, and you see that as good judgment, not a limitation. If you’re ready for a role where your judgment, follow-through, and project ownership set the standard for the team around you, let’s talk!

You Value: Leadership, Predictability, Quality

How you’ll spend your day:

  • Leading small and midsize projects, and supporting the CEO on larger or more complex ones, from early design through construction administration
  • Owning day-to-day communication with clients, consultants, contractors, CEO, and internal team, including updates, meeting recaps, decisions needed, and next steps
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
  • Directing full trade coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants
  • Tracking schedules, budgets, consultant deliverables, and client decision points
  • Managing construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, ASIs/addenda, field observations, and open issue tracking with CEO input on complex issues
  • Mentoring Project Architects, Designers, and other team members while holding the team accountable to deadlines and quality expectations
  • Traveling to project sites up to 30% depending on project and firm needs

What you bring to the table:

  • A licensed architect with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
  • 12+ years of professional architectural experience, including 8+ years in a project manager role – hospitality, aviation, or restaurant experience is a strong plus
  • At least 8 years of construction administration experience, including full lifecycle responsibility on assigned projects
  • Strong technical detailing skills, with deep experience coordinating construction documents across structural, MEP, civil, and other trades
  • Advanced Revit proficiency and solid technical knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and code coordination
  • Clear, confident communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and your internal team
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating your project leadership and technical detailing
  • NCARB Certification, Autodesk Forma/Construction Cloud experience, and Deltek Vantagepoint experience are all pluses
  • Based in the Denver metro area, within 50 miles of Denver International Airport

What you’ll enjoy when you join us:

  • $125,000 – $135,000 plus annual discretionary bonus eligibility
  • A nice suite of benefits and remote work arrangement
  • Opportunity to gain experience in a variety of project types

Goldstone Partners is helping this successful, growing firm find seasoned pros to join us. Applications welcomed from US Citizens and Green Card holders only.
