Our mission is to honor God by supporting families through adoption while providing guidance, education, and care throughout the adoption journey.
Position Summary
Flourish Adoption Ministries is seeking a motivated and compassionate Domestic Adoption Casework Intern to join our team. This paid, part-time internship offers hands-on experience in social work, case management, family services, and non-profit ministry. The intern will work closely with our licensed caseworker and gain valuable exposure to the private domestic adoption process.
This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Family Studies, Sociology, Counseling, or related fields who are interested in family services, child welfare, or adoption ministry.
Responsibilities
- Assist the caseworker with administrative and case management tasks.
- Help organize and maintain confidential client files and documentation.
- Support the coordination of home study and post-placement paperwork.
- Prepare client packets, educational materials, and agency resources.
- Assist with data entry and record keeping in agency databases.
- Observe and learn about the adoption process from inquiry through placement.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions when appropriate.
- Assist with outreach projects, special events, and agency initiatives.
- Provide general office support as needed.

Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Family Studies, Counseling, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented and dependable.
- Comfortable working in a faith-based environment.
- Passion for serving children and families.
Schedule
- Part-time, flexible schedule based on student availability.
- Approximately 20-30 hours per week. In the office. The hours can be obtained between the hours of Monday-Thursday from 9am-4pm
- Internship dates may be customized to align with academic requirements and semester schedules.
Compensation
This is a paid internship. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
