When you join Design Group as an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer, Power, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals. You will make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
- Work with senior licensed engineers and experienced designers under the direction of lead licensed electrical engineers
- Design power distribution and lighting systems for manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial and commercial facilities
- Work on projects for low & medium voltage electrical distribution systems including MCCs, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, and UPS
- Enter into a career path to become a licensed electrical engineer
What You’ll Bring
- internship, part-time or full-time employment, or project experience related to engineering, consulting, facility design, construction management, drafting, or architecture
- Demonstrated leadership or participation in campus/community service activities (preferred)
- Experience in the design of facilities for food/beverage, pharma/life science, or consumer products for manufacturing and distribution (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with our valued team members and clients
- Solid computer skills including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word (academic or professional)
- A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering (structural concentration), or an equivalent degree from an ABET accredited institution
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) licensure for those wish to become licensed professional engineers or licensed architects
