Welcome to the Sales Internship at CoStar Group! This 10-week program offers a unique opportunity for college students eager to jumpstart their careers in sales, with hands-on exposure to leading brands such as CoStar, Apartments.com, Homes.com and LoopNet.  

  

Primarily based in Richmond, VA, with alternate locations such as Dallas, Chicago, Arlington, VA, Atlanta & Denver, you’ll gain valuable experience working directly with our sales teams, contributing to key sales initiatives, and learning how to drive business success within the residential, commercial & multi-family real estate and property technology sectors. At the end of your internship, you may be considered for a full-time associate position in our Sales Development Program in 2027. 

  

As a Sales Development Intern, you will collaborate closely with seasoned sales professionals, providing support across various sales functions while gaining insight into the sales process and the platforms we offer. This is your chance to build a foundation for a successful sales career in a fast-paced, dynamic industry. You’ll gain exposure across our industry-leading brands:

CoStar Sales (CRE)  

  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Sales Support: Learn the concepts of sales by assisting the sales team in prospecting, servicing and market research support using CoStar Sales (CRE), Apartments.com, Homes.com and LoopNet.  

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales professionals to understand client needs and participate in meetings and market events to learn our industry and sales process.   

  • Market Research: Research industry trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities to inform sales strategies.   

  • Sales Operations: Help organize sales materials, manage CRM systems, and track sales performance.   

  • Brand Exposure: Gain knowledge of CoStar Group’s products and services, and how they impact the residential, commercial & multi-family real estate market.   

  

What You’ll Gain:

  • A deeper understanding of market dynamics, asset classes, and data analysis

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Current college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation in December 2026 or May 2027.  

  • Minimum 3.2 and above GPA.   

  • Strong interest in sales, real estate and business development.   

  • Excellent communication, research, and organizational skills.   

  • MS Office Suite proficiency; PowerPoint, Excel.  

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for learning.   

  

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Active participation in extracurricular programs and/or holding leadership positions in student-led organizations is highly valued.
