The Intern for Residential Learning position supports the development and implementation of the Residential Experience Model (REM), with the goal of promoting residential student learning and success. The position responsibilities for this role are as follows: – Market and increase the visibility of REM among residential students through resource creation, social media presence, or training sessions and materials. – Assist in the collection and analysis of student and staff feedback on student learning and success related to REM learning outcomes – Plan and help with the implementation of changes to lesson plans based on learning assessment data and staff feedback – Develop and maintain resources for undergraduate Residential Community Mentors (RCMs), Graduate Assistants (GAs), and full time Residential Living and Residential Learning housing staff – Research strategies for encouraging learning and community development in on-campus residential communities – Facilitate new and continuing academic and campus partnerships for residential students with colleagues in Student Affairs and Academic Affairs
Eligibility requirements: UPIC interns must be enrolled, matriculating, full-time (12+ credit hours for part time interns) Clemson University undergraduate students in good academic standing and non-academic alert status (minimum cumulative Clemson GPA of 2.0) and in good status with the UPIC program. Once selected, in order to participate in the UPIC Program, student interns must enroll in the required INT course ($200 course fee) and complete hiring paperwork with the UPIC office.
Interns cannot begin working until the hiring process is complete.
