In collaboration with Bridge to Clemson staff, the Student Success Interns are responsible for the advertising, marketing, and facilitation of academic support programs to Bridge students. Interns will assist with various programs and services throughout the semester geared toward supporting the academic and social needs of Bridge to Clemson students. Interns will be required to participate in training and weekly staff meetings with the Associate Director of the Bridge to Clemson program, and the Graduate Assistant for Advising and Success. Initiatives to learn about the different programs, social media platforms and events put on by Bridge staff. Office hours will be held in Vickery Hall. Preference will be given to business majors and former Bridge to Clemson students. The primary responsibilities of the Student Success Interns will be to Coordinate social media campaigns via the Bridge to Clemson Instagram account (bridgetoclemson) to grow our reach and engagement with Bridge students. Interns will be responsible for planning and maintaining a social media strategy and a calendar for upcoming posts for Instagram. Serve as a peer mentor and design content to promote resources, and offer tips for successful time management, organizational techniques, goal setting, etc. Support and deliver promotional tabling events, student success workshops, etc. to help Bridge students to connect with Bridge and Clemson academic advisors for assistance with academic planning and advising-related questions.
Eligibility requirements: UPIC interns must be enrolled, matriculating, full-time (12+ credit hours for part time interns) Clemson University undergraduate students in good academic standing and non-academic alert status (minimum cumulative Clemson GPA of 2.0) and in good status with the UPIC program. Once selected, in order to participate in the UPIC Program, student interns must enroll in the required INT course ($200 course fee) and complete hiring paperwork with the UPIC office.
Interns cannot begin working until the hiring process is complete.
