Student Assistant – Landscape Maintenance
The South Carolina Botanical Garden is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Horticulture Staff in maintaining gardens and landscape displays to professional industry standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Weeding, mulching, and mowing
- General garden and landscape maintenance
- Assisting with the care and upkeep of ornamental displays
- Supporting horticulture staff with routine maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
- Interest in horticulture, landscaping, or outdoor work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling, bending, lifting, pushing, and walking for extended periods
This position offers hands-on experience maintaining high-quality landscape displays in a public garden setting while working alongside experienced horticulture professionals.
