The Department of Chemistry at Clemson University seeks a full-time Lecturer position that begins December 16, 2025. The position involves teaching general chemistry with the possibility of organic chemistry.

The Department of Chemistry at Clemson University is a dynamic, medium-sized department with 25 research-active faculty, 19 lecturers, and approximately 125 Ph.D. students. Our research spans all traditional areas of chemistry, with particular strengths in materials chemistry, spectroscopy, computational chemistry, and organic synthesis.The Upstate region of South Carolina is geographically situated at the heart of the booming Charlotte-Atlanta corridor and is part of a 10-county region anchored by Greenville and Spartanburg. Qualifications

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in chemistry or chemical education. A demonstrated interest in teaching first-year undergraduate students is essential, as well as the ability to emphasize conceptual understanding of important chemical concepts and problem solving.
