Join the CUF Information Technology (IT) Team that provides innovative business and technology support to the University’s fundraising efforts. You will learn about business analysis, project management, and technological enhancements that support an organization that raised over $200M this year. We also manage millions of database records connecting to over 150 employees through multiple cloud-based applications.
Candidate will need to know the basics of programming and SQL, preferred student would be pursuing a degree related to Information Technology or Programming, and through the project learn to program multiple different customizations for CADENCE. The student will design a custom CADENCE enhancement that will ease the workload of the Gift Management and Finance teams.
The student will work with a Business Analyst and client to get the full scope of what needs to be created, develop the needed items, work through UAT with the requestor, and deploy the finalized project into our production environment. If extra time is available, refinements and enhancements can be reviewed and prioritized for version 2. As available and as needed the student will assist with other request tickets that come in to get a feel for other tasks and duties involved with the CUF IT team.
Job Duties
Cadence Programming – 75%
• Design custom Cadence enhancement using SQL
• Work with Business Analyst and client to create and develop needed items
• Work through UAT
Helpdesk Ticketing – 25%
• Assist helpdesk with ticketing as needed
Eligibility requirements: UPIC interns must be enrolled, matriculating, full-time (12+ credit hours for part time interns) Clemson University undergraduate students in good academic standing and non-academic alert status (minimum cumulative Clemson GPA of 2.0) and in good status with the UPIC program. Once selected, in order to participate in the UPIC Program, student interns must enroll in the required INT course ($200 course fee) and complete hiring paperwork with the UPIC office.
Interns cannot begin working until the hiring process is complete.
