Clemson University Center for Workforce Development (CUCWD) has an immediate need for a part-time student employee to help maintain and improve the SkilRedi platform suite of E-learning products and services for workforce technicians nationwide. SkilRedi is an interactive online learning portal that delivers courseware in Aviation, Aircraft Maintenance, Robotics, Advanced Mobility, EV Manufacturing and Service.
This is an ideal role for a candidate seeking hands-on experience in web systems, support operations, and application development. Applicants in undergrad or graduate degree programs may be considered. CUCWD staff reside both at CU-ICAR in Greenville and on main campus. This position offers flexible work options from both site locations.
Responsibilities:
Perform timely web administration tasks related to support operations
Act as junior lead on development projects to automate platform support processes
Write/revise online knowledge base articles for common support issues as needed
Participate in QA testing processes and provide feedback for platform improvements
Proactively identify problems that will help improve support and platform operations
Essential Qualifications:
Working knowledge of web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python)
Ability to document and communicate complex technical concepts
A desire for collaborative work projects; ability to influence and contribute new ideas
Customer service experience with background in written communication
Additional Aptitudes:
Exposure to automation or AI technologies (e.g., Power Automate, Codex)
Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure in AWS (e.g., Glue, ECS Fargate, Lambda)
Exposure or experience with full stack framework technology (e.g., React, Django)
Experience with IT support and related communication systems
Experience with application testing or other QA responsibilities
Eligibility requirements: UPIC interns must be enrolled, matriculating, full-time (12+ credit hours for part time interns) Clemson University undergraduate students in good academic standing and non-academic alert status (minimum cumulative Clemson GPA of 2.0) and in good status with the UPIC program. Once selected, in order to participate in the UPIC Program, student interns must enroll in the required INT course ($200 course fee) and complete hiring paperwork with the UPIC office.
Interns cannot begin working until the hiring process is complete.
