Job description:
As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons by monitoring activities, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies. Your core skills in first aid, swimming, and CPR will be essential in maintaining a safe environment. In addition to your lifeguarding duties, you will utilize your skills in guest services to enhance the overall experience for visitors, monitor pool chemicals and perform light cleaning as needed. Responsibilities
- Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid, rescues, CPR, and other care as needed in emergency situations.
- Conduct regular pool maintenance and cleaning to ensure water quality and safety.
- Assist with guest services, addressing inquiries and providing information about facility amenities.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving pool equipment or cleaning supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Applicants must be 15 years or older.
- Applicants must hold a current lifeguard certification.
- Proven experience as a Lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred is a plus.
- Applicants must participate in all required inservice training.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues if needed.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance practices, including water testing and chemical balancing.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with pool cleaning and maintenance.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
