Anderson Lights of Hope, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in partnership with WALH 94.9 FM and WSAC 89.5 FM, is seeking motivated, outgoing individuals to join our Radio Sales & Non-Profit Sponsorship Team. This position focuses on delivering live play-by-play coverage and commentary for local high school and college athletic events. This role provides the audience with clear, engaging, and accurate descriptions of the action while maintaining the station’s brand, professionalism, and excitement.
This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to develop practical skills in sales, marketing, communications, broadcasting, and nonprofit management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform live play-by-play announcing and commentary for basketball and baseball at the high school level.
- Co host “Breakfast with the Coaches” show, interviewing Coaches on air live.
- Research teams, players, statistics, and storylines to prepare.
- Collaborate with production team to ensure smooth transitions and ad placements.
- Represent WALH/WSAC at games in a professional, positive manner.
- Strong communication skills and ability to create an exciting listener experience.
