About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Intern to support experimental research and testing activities related to advanced liquid cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation, hands-on laboratory skills, and an interest in experimental hardware testing. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers and researchers while gaining practical experience in fluid/thermal systems.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Currently pursuing or completed a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Fundamental understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Familiarity with data collection, data verification, and data analysis techniques.
- Hands-on experience with experimental setups, instrumentation, or laboratory testing (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets up, calibrates, and operates laboratory equipment related to liquid cooling systems, such as testing benches, sensors, data loggers, and control systems.
- Assists in the design and fabrication of experimental setups for hardware testing, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
- Executes experiments, records observations, and gathers data systematically and accurately.
- Conducts performance and durability testing of liquid cooling hardware components, subsystems, and prototypes.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots technical issues that arise during experiments, working collaboratively to find effective solutions.
- Maintains comprehensive and organized records of experimental procedures, data, and outcomes.
- Contributes to technical reports, presentations, and documentation detailing experimental methodologies, results, and conclusions.
- Collaborates closely with research scientists, engineers, and other team members to achieve research goals.
- Communicates experimental findings, challenges, and progress effectively through verbal updates and written reports.
- Adheres to laboratory safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
