  Academic Success Center - Room 118

The Student Veteran Resource Center and the Clemson Student Veterans Association will host the next Green Zone Training on Thursday, February 25th from 1-3pm in the Academic Success Center – Room 118.
Transitioning from military to civilian life can pose significant challenges to veterans. If faculty members are aware of these challenges, they will be better prepared to help student veterans integrate into the University setting.

Tigers go to Washington Networking Luncheon

Tuesday, March 1, 12 to 1:30 PM

  Almeda Jacks Ballroom A, Hendrix Student Center

THIS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLY.

We are looking to assemble a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students to participate in our networking luncheon that will begin promptly at 12pm.

Students will be preselected by submitting resumes (with GPAs) and cover letters through ClemsonJobLink. (Search Keyword: “luncheon” in ClemsonJobLink to apply.) Application period is January 25 - February 8. Attendance is required at one of the “prep workshops” and the Monday, February 29 networking event if selected for the luncheon.

Open to pre-selected students who submitted resumes during the application period of January 25 - February 8.

If you are considering a career within academia you will need to produce a curriculum vitae. This seminar will help to guide graduate students to format and develop content toward what faculty are looking for. Learn the different types of information you and should not include based on post-doctoral or faculty position description.
Bring a hard copy of your Curriculum Vitiae and position description with you, so you can leave the workshop with a critiqued and tailored Curriculum Vitae.

GRADUATE SEMINAR: CRAFTING YOUR RESUME AND COVER LETTER

Friday, March 4, 3 to 4 PM

Congrats on getting to the interview stage of the process! Now what? This workshop covers what to consider before, during, and after the interview to boost your confidence and demonstrate to an employer, you're a great candidate. Time will be spent on preparing for different styles of interviewing (in-person, phone, and Skype/webinar), learning about the different categories of questions employers ask, and making a good impression from start to finish.
