Alert!: Job Seeker Scams
A number of fraudulent emails have been sent to Clemson students under the guise of offering some form of employment. Visit our Job Seeker Scams page for more information.
Information in the print resources, available in the
Flora M Riley CRC, is a great way to confirm information found on the
Internet.
Our resource center, located in 316 Hendrix Student Center, contains hundreds of books and files of career information. The library features a computerized career guidance systems, called DISCOVER, which provide career guidance and information. We have brochures and information about every Clemson undergraduate and graduate major. Our library is open Monday through Friday, 8.00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and you are welcome to browse at any time. A particularly helpful career information resource is the Occupational Outlook Handbook - a description to the top 250 careers in the U.S. economy.
Library handouts can be accessed by each section or topic. To download a handout on a given topic click here.
DISCOVER offers you the opportunity to examine your interests, values and skills, and learn what careers you will find most satisfying. The system has a database of information on hundreds of careers, which is continually updated so it is always current, that can be matched with your interests and abilities. Before using DISCOVER, you must first get a user token from the Career Center.
We have Peterson's Guides to Graduate Schools, which provide information on every graduate program in the country. These guides cannot be checked out of the library but are available for use in the Career Library.
Be sure to visit Cooper Library for many more career related resources. A list of career resources is available here. For more information on avalable library resources, visit the Clemson University Libraries homepage.
