The Michelin Career Center career counselors can assist your student one-on-one with the selection of a major or career direction. In addition we have several career assessments that can help students to clarify their interests, skills and values. A brief explanation of our services and inventories follows along with a helpful link to a resource titled" What can I do With My major".
The Michelin Career Center has a staff of professional counselors and advanced counseling graduate students to assist students with making major and career decisions. During a counseling session, the counselor and student may decide that a standardized vocational assessment may be helpful. Counselors are available throughout the week to help students.

Based on John Holland's Six Career Personality Types Cost Free DISCOVER features a comprehensive approach to career assessment that integrates work-relevant interests, abilities, and job values. Career information is quickly and easily retrieved through the system’s up-to-date database that helps students explore careers and research occupations and majors. Students may come by our Michelin Career Center Library, 316 Hendrix Student Center to take the DISCOVER assessment during our office hours. Students must make an appointment with a counselor to view the results of their assessment.
Based on John Holland's Six Career Personality Types Cost - $15 The Newly Revised Strong Interest Inventory is a tool that can help high school students through adulthood to evaluate their work interests. This assessment can show how your interests compare to those of professionals in hundreds of occupations. Students may come by our Michelin Career Center Library, 316 Hendrix Student Center to take this assessment during our office hours. Students must make an appointment with a counselor to view the results of their assessment.
Cost - $15 The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument measures personality preference on four scales; Extraversion - Introversion (E - I), Sensing - Intuition (S - N), Thinking - Feeling (T - F), and Judgment - Perception (J - P). This Indicator lets you examine your style of communicating, making decisions, and planning—and relate your style to work environments. Students may come by our Michelin Career Center Library, 316 Hendrix Student Center to take this assessment during our office hours. Students must make an appointment with a counselor to view the results of their assessment.
Cost - Free This tool will assess your personality based on your preferences available via the Career Center website. The password and ID are available only to Clemson students. Your 4-letter personality preference can give you insight into: What career choices fit with my personality? How can I improve my chances for getting a job? How can I get along with people better? What are my learning style strengths? We encourage students to make an appointment with a counselor to review their TypeFocus results. They can call the Career Library at (864) 656-0440 to schedule an appointment with a counselor.
