CRAFTING YOUR COVER LETTER: Monday, Feb 11, 7-8 pm
Cover letters always accompany a resume when applying for an internship or full-time position. This seminar will provide graduate students with tips, formats, and approaches to writing a cover letter. Too often students think if they writing one cover letter, they can send it to every company. Learn how to target your cover letter to make you stand out from other applicants. Also learn what to say and what NOT to say in your cover letter. Participants are asked to bring a hard copy of a cover letter they have written to work with during the workshop as well as a job description of an internship or full-time position. Participants are not required to have applied for this position – it is simply to get participants learn how to target their cover letters.
