The Michelin Career Center, through partnerships with various organizations, has been linking students and alumni with their choice of employers to achieve life-long career success. We strive to meet the expectations of both student interns and potential employers. Here are a few success stories.
"Clemson University has proven to be an effective partner in our
recruiting process. Working closely with the Career Center, we've
been able to select motivated students for our intern program
and give them a flavor of what opportunities and challenges await
them upon graduation."
Randy Fix
Target Stores
Anderson Store Manager
"Having Anderson within such a close distance to Clemson allowed
me to obtain an internship with a national corporation, while
continuing my classes. The internship has turned into a fulltime
position that otherwise may not have happened. Having the opportunity
to participate in an internship while attending school it gave
me the work experience that Target and so many other companies
look for.
Seth Finkey
Clemson University
Student Intern
"There are two things that I enjoyed most about my internship experience. First, I had a lot of responsibilities. They recognized the fact that I had substantial amount of prior experience and didn't load me down with a lot of mundane tasks. Instead, I functioned as more or less a full-time employee."
David Domnish
Mechanical Engineering
Rehrig Pacific Company
(Plastic Injection Molding)
Project/Design Engineering Intern
"My first internship involved helping staff at the Aiken call Center. I sent out applications, acceptance letters, rejection letters,
assisted with the interviews, and made sure potential hires passed
their drug screen and background check. During my second internship
I assisted with the development of an online training program for
SCANA. I met with different vendors to determine different options,
made sure courses matched SCANA's core competencies, and once I
found the right vendor, planned and tested the "pilot plan." This
online training program should have begun right after I finished
my internship. My internship experiences validated my career choice
in Human Resources."
Catherine Johnston
Graduate Assistant in Human Resource Development Program
SCANA HR intern
"Establishing a partnership with Clemson University enhanced our
ability to hire top-notch students for our Internship Program at
Coty US LLC. With the help or the Michelin Career Center, we were
able to provide our interns with exciting and challenging real-world
experience"
Heidi Whitehead
Human Resources Supervisor
Coty US LLC
"First, let me say, your staff and your website were extremely helpful
for us this summer. It is the one new resource that made the largest
difference for us in recruiting for the summer".
Derek Lewis
Golden Strip YMCA

"Clemson University has been instrumental to the success of our Boys & Girls Clubs program.
We have hired numerous students as part-time program aides to facilitate our clubs. In the
past 2 years, 4 have been promoted through the organization to full-time positions. Our
staff is our greatest resource and we rely on them greatly to take care of our children.
I want to thank the Michelin Career Center for playing a vital role in our success".
