Construction Industry Career Fair 2014

  • New in 2014, the Construction Industry Career Fair is a partnership between the Construction Science and Management Program and the Center for Career and Professional Development. Hosted in a smaller venue, this fair will be for all majors (including construction science and management) interested in working in the construction industry.

  • Cover letters always accompany a resume when applying for an internship or full-time position. Too often students think if they write one great cover letter, they can send it to every company. Learn the tips, formats, and approaches to writing a cover letter to help you stand out from other applicants. Also learn what to say and what NOT to say in your cover letter. Bring a hard copy of a cover letter and position description with you, so you can leave the workshop with a critiqued and tailored cover letter.

  • Understanding credit is an important part of building your financial reputation. You have big dreams for the future, some of which - like a car, a house or more schooling - cost more money than you have right now. Credit is a tool that can help you achieve those financial goals.

  • This workshop dives into the structure, content, and sample strategies for the specified standardized exam. Covering the basics of test content, layout, scoring, and registration, students will walk away with tactics they can apply on test day. Instructors will dig deep into problem solving, process of elimination, and critical thinking. Upon request we can tailor the session to cover all sections or just one section of a test. The workshop can cover admissions test strategies for all grad test prep courses. Approximately 60 minutes.
